Beware: Your iPhone, Android Apps spying on you a review - iMobile Gadget

"An US cell phone security firm has found many smart phone applications retrieving the sensitive datas and sending them to third parties without notification"

Beware, your smart phone application is watching you much more closely than you might do. Lookout Inc., https://www.mylookout.com/
, a cell phone security firm, scanned nearlt 3000,000 free applicayions from Apple iPhone and photos built around Google Android software.

Datas are used for Targetted Ads....

There is a major concern that has been bubbling up in privacy and security circles. The data can include full details about users contents, their pictures, text messages, internet search and history. The third parties can include advertisers and companies that analyze data on users. These information is used by the companies to target ads and learn more about their users.

Lookout Inc., found that nearly a quater of the iPhone apps and almost half the Google Android apps containd those capabilities.

Codes given by third-parties.....

The code written and given by the third parties are inserted into the applications by the developers, usually for the specific purpose such as allowing the applications to run ads. But the code winds up forcing the application to collect more datas on users that even the developers may realize.

"Apple did not resopnd to the request for comment on Lookout's research....."
